The Riverdale site of the Maryland Multicultural Youth Center (MMYC) is an extension of the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) family - a multicultural, community-based organization whose mission is to support youth and their families in their determination to live, work, and study with dignity, hope, and joy.
The University of Maryland (UMD) and the Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers (MMYC) have combined efforts to establish the Center for Educational Partnership (CEP) in Riverdale, Maryland. CEP is located at the former Riverdale Hills Elementary School located at 6200 Sheridan Avenue.
The University of Maryland and the Maryland Multicultural Youth Center are creating a community-based organization that will foster academic enrichment, parenting support, adult education, recreational and cultural programs for the benefit of the surrounding community of Riverdale.
