Mission Statement

The TEXAS YES Project is built on the idea that by providing our students with quality supplies and resources in the classroom we can help them achieve long-term academic success. Since 1998, we've supplied students and teachers at Title 1 schools with school supply kits, STEAM development grants, and more.

TEXAS YES (SA YES) was established in 1998 to create a better future for youth in San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and Corpus Christi areas in Texas. Over the years, we have supported our communities through school supply distribution, STEAM grants for schools and non-profits, and greater access to year-round literacy with our Little Locker Project.

Each year TEXAS YES selects numerous, elementary schools across Texas and supplies every student in those schools with a free school supply kit. Since its inception, TEXAS YES has provided over 500,000 deserving students with free school supplies. In 2022, 144 elementary schools received free school supplies from TEXAS YES for each student. TEXAS YES staff and volunteers visit each elementary school and personally hands every child an individual school supply kit.
