Mission Statement
The mission of RATL is to create urban ministry environments that foster God’s restoration, building the Kingdom within and through His children. Our goal is to bring individuals from all walks of life together for a unique and interactive mission experience, where both physical and spiritual restoration are received by all. We believe ministry and worship that unite young people from disparate socioeconomic backgrounds will inspire transformation and advance the Kingdom in Atlanta and beyond.
Description
Restoration ATL offers an urban immersion experience in a ministry setting for groups seeking a transformative Kingdom encounter. In other words, Restoration ATL is for those who understand their need for restoration and are ready to be proactive in experiencing a renewed presence of God. RATL (pronounced "rattle"--see Ezekial 37:7) combines the elements of a traditional spiritual retreat with the components of an urban mission. Participants focus on "being with" those who call the city home rather than "doing for" them.
RATL brings together groups (middle and high school, young adult, families with children, singles) from faith communities as well as businesses to experience an urban mission in one of Atlanta’s most impoverished areas. RATL retreats include dining, praying, learning, singing, serving, and worshipping with some of Atlanta’s most vulnerable children and their families. Combining worship, service and theological reflection, RATL provides an environment for individuals, from all walks of life, to experience God’s restoration. After all, each of us is need of restoration. Right?
