Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

Our mission is to meet the needs of Jewish people with a spectrum of educational, spiritual and social services programming. Our objective is to bring to the public at large a tradition and legacy that offers a value-based approach to life, based on Torah principles. We fulfill our mission by conceiving, planning and implementing an array of holiday and Shabbos programs, as well as, providing an eclectic selection of classes and speakers to meet the diverse needs and interests of our audience.
Chabad of S. Francisco strives to create and enrich Jewish community, culture, and education in San Francisco. We organize and support the Bill Graham Menorah Project every year in Union Square, Jewish Heritage Night for the SF Giants and Golden State Warriors, Shabbox- Shabbos food in a box, Mitzvah Cable Car, SOMA Shul, Shabbat Happy Hour, Beauty of the Elders, Shalom School Preschool, Bais Menachem K-8 School, adult education, and many other projects and festivities. Ultimately, Chabad of S. Francisco represents much of the heart and soul of the Jewish community in San Francisco: we bring people together to celebrate joyous holidays throughout the year and represent ongoing education of Jewish people in all walks of life.
We have the goal to further the expansion of several of our outreach programs in our community. Just as the city of San Francisco is going through a transformation, Chabad of SF is at a critical time for growth; thus, we are establishing a Jewish Center on 6 th Street dubbed "Positively 6 th Street." In the works as of now, this project will be the home of a Jewish Visitor Center, house of prayer, administrative offices, hospitality, mikvah, communal kosher kitchen, and other programs and events. In order to make these dreams come to fruition, we need your help to support our growing needs and goals for the future.
