Mission Statement
At Communities Against Predators, our primary role is within our communities: empowering parents to safeguard their children, enabling an exchange of information between parents, school districts, and various law enforcement agencies, and encouraging the creation of policies and legislation to fill gaps used by predators.
Description
Communities Against Predators is a (c)(4) non-profit incorporated in Washington State, with chapters in California and Colorado.
We primarily work on methods of educating communities, care-givers, and children about predatory crime prevention.
We also work to enable the creation of progressive, common-sense legislation to address predatory crime.
Each state operates within the constraints of the volunteers to address the perceived needs of their community, with CAP's mission statement as guidance.
In Washington, we are unpaid volunteers working between 10-30 hours per week on various projects ranging from a series of town hall meetings to preventative curricula for foster parents.
