Mission Statement

Gender Spectrum is a national education, consulting, and training organization promoting the welfare of transgender and gender variant people of all ages, especially children. Gender Spectrum produces two conferences, Gender Odyssey and Gender Spectrum Family. The family conference is the only conference in the world specifically designed for parents, families, and loved ones of gender variant children.

Gender Spectrum also maintains two of the nation's only support groups for families of gender variant and transgender children in conjunction with Children's Hospital & Research Centers in Oakland, CA and Seattle, WA. For more information on Gender Spectrum, its conferences, programs, workshops, and other programs, please visit www.genderspectrum.org or call us toll free at (877) 809-4159. Description

Gender Spectrum Education and Training is the umbrella organization that produces the Gender Odyssey conference, the Gender Spectrum Family conference, year-round support groups, year-round trainings, a provider registry, and other workshops, conferences and events.

Gender Odyssey is a national conference focused on the thoughtful exploration of gender. We strive to create an empowering environment where people of all genders can share their experiences and learn from the experiences of others.

Through dialogue, peer-led presentations, and sharing skills and expertise, we work to create broader and evolving language, social support, and life pathways that support all gender identities. By doing so, we hope to strengthen ourselves and develop communities that celebrate all expressions of gender at any age.

Gender Spectrum Family is a national annual conference for families with gender non-conforming, gender variant and transgender children and adolescents. Immerse yourself in a supportive, family-centered conference, and learn from the nation's leading-edge professionals who work with gender variant and transgender children and youth.

This year's conference will focus its programming on the needs of parents with gender variant children and youth. However, we encourage anyone interested in the subject to come to the conference and gain a deeper, richer understanding of gender. The next conference will be held in Seattle at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center on Labor Day weekend.
