Mission Statement

To rescue and rehabilitate dogs identified as a Pitbull 'type' and place them into loving and responsible forever homes. We will also advocate for Pitbulls and work to educate people about this wonderful dog in order to prevent their cruel and inhumane treatment. We are against any form of BSL (Breed Specific Legislation).

Description

Pitties & Purrs is a small foster based, all volunteer 501(c)(3) Pitbull & cat rescue in Baltimore, MD. Our rescue is solely supported by volunteers; we rescue dogs from local shelters and also from animal control facilities in other parts of the country. Our dogs and cats stay with the rescue until they can be re-homed with fully vetted and loving families. We specialize in dogs with skin issues, mainly mange and allergies. We tend to take the dogs that no other rescue wants to take and we do this with a small number of dedicated fosters and minimal donations. Our dogs and cats always receive the best veterinary care and 100% of the donations we receive go directly to our vet.
