Mission Statement

  1. New York should become a no kill city.
  2. No healthy animal, nor one that is treatable, should be euthanised.
  3. All companion animals should be spayed or neutered.

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). Founded fifteen years ago, Anjellicle Cats Rescue has been a lifeline for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens. In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out those who are in danger of being euthanized due to overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Foster or Adopt today! To meet our cats, please stop by one of our adoption centers or come to our weekly adoption events -- every Saturday at Petco 86 and Sunday at Petco 100.

Would you recommend Anjellicle Cats Rescue?

Because after a recent visit to one of their locations I was completely mesmerized on how beautiful and peaceful the environment is for the cats and and potential adopters as well. I fell in love with how relaxed the cats were regardless of the numerous amount of people around them.

I would recommend this to friends or colleague because I know that they will be interested in helping cats who are in need to be rescue. I also have seen how much most of my friend and colleague do love cats.

I have a sister who is passionate as I when it comes to loving and nurturing every animal individually. the reason I say Individually is because I love having the pets full attention, it's fun.

I am the volunteer coordinator for Anjellicle Cats. They are a great organisation to volunteer for and hence I have been volunteering for them for over 2 years now. We have a team of over 100 volunteers which is fabulous but we are always in need of more! Look at our website to see what great work we are doing. Or come along to one of our orientations and see for yourself. I am sure you will find it as rewarding and fun as we all do! I look forward to meeting you all.
