Mission Statement

The Courage Cup d/b/a Courage for Kids is a Virginia nonstock corporation and section 501(c)(3) public charity. Our mission includes but is not limited to charitable and educational purposes, such as helping at-risk youth by providing and securing funds to provide individualized attention, programs and services to keep children in school and to educate the general public about the funding needs of organizations that provide services and advocacy for disadvantaged people.

Description

We are partners in change, working with a broad range of people and organizations to help at-risk children. The organization strives to provide each child in need with the tools necessary to build a better and brighter future. In order to accomplish our mission, we have partnered with organizations such as Bright Beginnings Child Development Center, CentroNia, House of Ruth, Campagna Center, United Communities Against Poverty, Work to Ride, Hands on DC, DC Cares, and Children’s Hospital. Launched in 2010, our GIVE BACK-pack initiative provides a backpack filled with school supplies to homeless or at-risk children graduating from Pre-K programs in the Greater Washington, DC area.
