Mission Statement
Tapestry Youth Ministries, which was licensed in 1999, provides residential and support services to teen mothers between the ages of 13 and 17 and their babies who are at risk of becoming homeless. The overall mission of Tapestry Homes is to provide teen mothers between the ages of 13 and 21 years old and their babies who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless a safe, structured, nurturing environment where they can experience quality home life and positive development. Our goal is to assist these mothers in postponing a second pregnancy until some of their life goals are fulfilled. Tapestry Homes uses a holistic approach to accomplish our mission by providing individual counseling, education, parenting and general life skills programs.
Description
Tapestry Youth Ministries Home has basically two goals. The first goal is to provide teen mothers twenty-one and under and their babies residential services to break negative patterns. The second goal of Tapestry Homes is to provide an alternative family setting and environment which will be conducive to the mothers' development into functional members of society independent of Tapestry Homes.
