Community awareness and involvement are also very important, and our goal is to educate people about the fact that individuals with special needs ought to be defined by much more than just their disabilities.
The Clubhouse offers programs for individuals of all ages, from infancy to adulthood. The innovative programs will help to enrich the lives of each individual, giving him or her a sense of pride, accomplishment and belonging. Our programs will integrate normally developing individuals with those with developmental delays and special needs to create a strong foundation for support, acceptance, understanding and new friendships.
The Clubhouse builds on the strengths and talents of each unique individual, to give each person the confidence to believe in him/herself and each other. Joey's Clubhouse encourages all people to try and see the world as a person with special needs might see the world, providing the room to expand wings, open hearts, minds and eyes to a new view and understanding. Joey's Clubhouse provides a place in the community that will allow us to come together to teach and learn from one another for a more accepting and understanding world.
