Mission Statement

The mission of the Local Economic and Employment Development (LEED) Council Inc. is to promote an economic environment that encourages business growth and creates access to jobs and opportunities in the North Town, NearWest Side, West Town, Humboldt Park, and Logan Square Communities.

Description

The LEED Council is "leeding" the way by:

Continuing its long standing advocacy for local manufacturers, while striving to baalance new business growth among industrial, commercial, and service firms by facilitating compatible redevelopment of land and buildings:

Providing skills training a job placement for low-income Chicagoans;

Promoting sustainable development by addressing issues of transportation, infrastructure, & innovative pollution-reduction strategies: and

Offering financial education for workers & community residents.
