Mission Statement

St. Joseph Mercy Hospice is located in Ann Arbor, MI. Our office services Washtenaw County. Our specially trained hospice volunteers support those on hospice care by providing companionship and respite care. Volunteers not only make a difference in the lives of the families they serve, but also gain self-knowledge, personal satisfaction and increased spiritual growth through volunteering. All volunteers will be provided with education and training in the philosophy of hospice care, including support services for the hospice team - medical director and home health aid, nursing, social work, bereavement and spiritual care. Volunteers are taught care-giving techniques and are required to pass a health screen and background check.
