Mission Statement

The mission of the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet (TAYB) is to create a pathway to educational and professional opportunities, for the youth of Miami-Dade County, through the study and performance of dance. Objectives of the TAYB mission: To serve interested youth regardless of income level; To reflect the diversity of the community in all programming and productions; To facilitate the removal of obstacles that may impede success in life.

Description

Thomas Armour Youth Ballet has four outreach locations in Miami Dade County where it offers free afterschool programs for students ages 5-11.

Students conduct the following daily activities:

- 1 hour reading class

- 1 hour homework session

- 1 hour dance class
