Description

Job development and placement for low income people aged 55 and over. Paid on-the-job training for employment through community service at a non-profit or government organization for persons aged 55 and over. Services include development of new skills and talents, enhanced work experience through exposure to various jobs during enrollment, and personal support and guidance to transfer enrollees into private sector jobs after training. Special emphasis is placed on assisting seniors who are veterans or spouses of veterans, are homeless or at risk of homelessness, have a disability, limited English proficiency, or low literacy skills.
