Our vision is to build better communities through the transformation of families affected by incarceration - not only by preventing the potential for crime, but by developing better citizens who can give back to society.
What We Do
Advocacy - Families Free works to inform professionals working with this population through seminars and workshops at conferences. We also seek to inform the general public of the needs of these families and children through the public media.
Family Strengthening -Through our Connections program, Families Free endeavors to help families rebuild and strengthen their bond during a loved one's incarceration.

Families Free is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation which serves children and families affected by incarceration. We are faith oriented, with a belief in Jesus Christ as a foundation for our service to those He has commanded us to serve and love.
Families Free is an adopted project of the Summit Leadership Foundation (www.summitlife.org). We are currently transitioning into independence as an organization after a year-long fiscal sponsorship by the Summit Leadership Foundation. Contributions can now be made to Families Free, Inc. and sent to P.O. Box 5645, Johnson City, TN 37602.
