To accelerate cancer research funding for life-saving multiple myeloma discoveries.
Multiple myeloma is a rare cancer of the blood. There are over 60,000 people in the United States with multiple myeloma. 26,000 individuals will be diagnosed this year and sadly 11,000 people will die from the disease. Multiple Myeloma Opportunities for Research and Education (MMORE) is dedicated to supporting myeloma research for treatments and cures, as well as increasing the awareness of this disease.
MMORE provides the seed money for scientists to take an idea, a hope, a plan to demonstrate that their work merits large-scale funding from the National Cancer Institute and other major funders. It is an extremely critical role with the decline in federal funding for cancer research.
Many studies begun with seed funding from MMORE have gone on to be published and receive large grants. It is because of grassroots volunteers, donors and other supporters that extraordinary advances have been made in Immune System Mobilization, Cancer Viruses, Cancer Cell Reproduction and Steroid Interventions.
We need your help to do MMORE. 1-888-486-4240. www.mmore.org
