Mission Statement

To continue to provide religious services, education and community outreach to the Orthodox, Chabad and non-declared Jewish communities of Chelsea, MA and the surrounding cities. To also provide, through the organization The Museum of the Walnut Street Synagogue -an inclusive cultural community center.

Description

Under new board management and the spiritual guidance of Rabbi Moshe Liberow of the North Shore Chabad, the organization of the Walnut Street Synagogue will continue to offer Orthodox services, holiday services and shabbat services while also looking for ways to encourage Jewish people to learn more about their religion. The board is also working on The Museum at the Walnut Street Synagogue which will provide a cultural and educational center for the diverse communities of Chelsea, East Boston, Revere, Everett and Winthrop.
