Project IMPACT International (PII) PII is dedicated to the application of service, education, technology and research in order to construct and implement domestic and international solutions to physical, mental and environmental health concerns. PII means of achieving such goals include but are notlimited to: collaborations with domestic and international entities; provision of health care service goods and education; planning and conducting research, and the evaluation of existing or proposed micro or macro health care delivery systems.
Project IMPACT International was founded in 2007. At that time the organization was established to provide financial and infrastructure support to a women's group in Kabusi, Uganda. We held a fundraiser and was able to provide clothing, computers, a printer, HIV education software to HIV positive women and their children. Our organization has not been fully active since then outside of small local domestic projects. We are currently aligning with our Board Chair's clinical practice to seek funding opportunity to medical equiptment for our patients. Medical equiptment such as blood pressure monitors, are not covered by private nor public insurances. Although the patients within Dr. King's private practice are diverse in ethnicity and socioeconomics; they are united in a common need for social services and support.
