2.2 - MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Historical Society and Museum for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is to identify, collect, preserve, document, exhibit and interpret material evidence and information of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for the purpose of promoting pride and loyalty in its employees, maintaining its traditions of service and preserving its history for the benefit and education of CDFFP employees and the people of the State of California.

We are a non-profit museum dedicated to the preservation of the history of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for educational, research, entertainment and building pride in the CDFFP. Our goals include providing one-stop shopping for information on the CDFFP for students, reseaerchers and the people of the State of Calif. and the nation.
