Mission Statement

The Silliman Teen Area exists to reach Youth, connecting them with peers and adult leaders, to help them grow (socially and in responsibility) and to challenge youth to discover new opportunities and experience.

Description

As part of the City of Newark Recreation and Community Services Department, the Silliman Teen Area plans and implements programs for the City's 6th-12 grade students. Located iwthin the Silliman Activity and Family Aquatic Center, the Teen Area is open Monday-Friday after school. The Teen Area boasts a game area (pool tables, air hockey, foosball table, and ping pong table) a computer lab, and a lounge area with a large screen T.V and access to gaming systems. Teen Area staff are available to assist with homeowrk, play games, or just provide a positive role model.
