Mission Statement

The Humane Society of Morrow County is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to promote animal welfare, relieve animal suffering and educate the public on animal care. We have been striving for the humane treatment of all animals - be it dogs, cats, horses or others - since 1974. That mission continues today. While we currently do not have a shelter, we do have many animals in foster homes that are available for adoption and longing for a forever home. We do not euthanize animals within our foster program, so once a pet is processed into our foster program they remain with us until the perfect match is found. We could not do what we do for these animals if it weren’t for our volunteers, board members and humane agent. The time and effort that they give to all animals in need is truly inspiring, and we and our four-footed friends are eternally grateful.
