Mission Statement

It is the mission of Volunteer Services in the Town of West Hartford to provide support services for residents in need and a wide variety of civic engagement opportunities for residents to serve their community.

Description

Opportunities to help the elderly and disabled of our community maintain their independence. Special projects such as organizing food drives to benefit the food pantry, conversational English groups, and episodic opportunities throughout the year. Services are also provided to children and families at the Hillcrest Center. Volunteers serve as tutors in the K-8 After School program or with adults in the evening, and also to help with a wide variety of creative projects.
