Description

The Salvation Army of Greater Lynchburg has been serving Lynchburg,Campbell, Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox and Nelson counties for more than 100 years. Along with disaster relief, we provide assistance with emergency shelter housing; financial assistance with rent, utilities, food and clothing; classes that help with life skills; youth community enrichment programs; feeding programs for the hungry, and many other social services that benefit the working poor as well as the homeless populations.

The Salvation Army works with other organizations to help individuals recover their lives. It is a group of caring people which reaches out with Christian love without discrimination to help with counselling, clothing, food, shelter and in many different ways.
