Heartwarming experience. Tasks included setting up and passing out snacks and refreshments. Enjoyed performances from a barbershop quartet, magic and game shows! 2 hours filled with joy and smiles!

Second time volunteering here for the annual Holiday dinner (12/2016 & 2017)! Had a fantastic time serving hot chocolate and even singing some carols. Will definitely recommend to any youth looking for rewarding and fun events.

I've been volunteering a short time now with Sunny View. My experience has been positive. The support I've given to date is in payroll and in helping with the monthly birthday celebration. I would recommend this organization to people looking to volunteer in a retirement community.

After reading the previous recommendation, it makes me wonder if this is the same VC of 6 years ago. i never got a response for my willingness to serve either. I live close and could have been very valuable.

Even before I could offer my volunteer services, I had a very unprofessional relationship with the Volunteer Coordinator ('VC') of this organization.
I was told a week ago by the VC that the volunteer orientation is going to be held on 17th September 2009 at 5:30 pm. On the day of the orientation, I called several times and emailed the VC to inquire if the volunteer orientation is on. However, I got no response at all. So I assumed that the orientation is on for the said time and day.
On reaching the organization at 5:30pm on 17th September 2009, I find the VC not in the office and there is no body in the office who knew about the presence of a volunteer orientation program.
This is completely unprofessional on the part of the VC who neither responded to my mail or calls and not even informing me that there is no orientation that day.
Why would I be interested in volunteering after this experience? Why should I commit myself?
It has been 2 days and still no response.
