Mission Statement

MIlford's Promise is committed to providing programs and partnerships to ensure that 5 essential promises are made and kept for all youth in Milford. These 5 Promises are: Caring Adults, Safe Places, Healthy Starts, Marketable Skills and Opportunities to give back to the community.

Description

Milford's Promise offers a variery of programs in Milford to help ensure that our youth have all of the tools and resources needed to be successful in life. One of our main programs is our structureed mentoring program. This program pairs an elementary school student with a caring adult. We also run the Respect Campaign initiaive each May in MIlford. Milford's Promise is an active member of the Milford Mentoring Collaborative and Milford Youth Network. We were also the catalyst in submitting the application for MIlford to be named one of the 100 Best communities in America for youth for 3 consecutive years. This is an honor that Milford is extremeley proud of - Milford is the ONLY community in CT to win this honor 3 times! Milford's Promise is a branch of the national youth alliance America's Promise founded by Colin Powell.
