Mission Statement

Operation School Wear collects new and gently used clothing for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade and their families. This may include uniforms, sportswear, prom wear, clothing appropriate for job interviews, employment and daily wear. We redistribute to local families free of charge. Donated items that are too worn, stained or torn will be recycled in an environmentally responsible way.

Description

Operation School Wear, Inc. is an innovative, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing a better future for children and families through the provision of necessary clothing items. We collect in kind donations from generous members of the community to redistribute to families in need at no cost to them. Needed clothes include school wear, professional items, sports gear, and every day clothing.

Of course, not all used clothing is salvageable. At Operation School Wear, Inc., we are passionate about ensuring that all donations are used appropriately and effectively. For example, clothes that are deemed too stained, old, or worn to be redistributed are made into rugs, bowls, hair clips, or other usable items to ensure that no donation goes to waste. Through these measures, we do our part to keep our landfills empty and our community beautiful!
