Mission Statement

The mission of NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut is to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.

Description

NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut is the only statewide grassroots organization dedicated solely to preserving and defending reproductive choices. Each year we lobby the State Legislature to pass pro-choice legislation and defeat anti-choice legislation. In even numbered years, our Political Action Committee endorses pro-choice candidates for state office and mobilizes Connecticut voters by conducting literature drops, phone banks, and mailings. NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut also conducts research and community outreach to educate Connecticut citizens on important reproductive health issues, the Supreme Court, and choice at the state and federal level.
