Mission Statement

Community Care Services' Family Resource Center assists families with children who are victims of abandonment, disaster, tragedies and evictions. Our program is designed to provide shelter, case management, nutrition , education and counseling. The main focus is on obtaining permanent housing. Follow up assistance is provided as families re-enter the community through the Caring Connection and the After Care Program staff.

Description

While at the shelter each family works with our professional staff to complete a comprehensive assessment of housing and financial needs. Each resident is assigned a case manager who assists them with finding community services that are offered and also makes referrals on their part. The case managers also helps in finding proper daycare for children, enrolling children into school, setting up medical, dental, and counseling appointments, and assisting families with job search programs. Our sister housing program, works with families to help them find and maintain affordable housing . The Enrichment program at the Family Resource Center teaches families life skills such as stress management, crisis intervention, parenting , budgeting, and much more.
