Hondo Fire and Rescue is committed to providing the highest quality emergency service to our community by protecting and preventing the loss of life and property through professional and efficient planning, preparation, training, education and delivery of emergency services.

Description

Hondo Fire and Rescue provides all non-law enforcement emergency services to the citizens and visitors to the Hondo Fire District in Santa Fe County, New Mexico. We routinely respond to structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, brush fires, vehicle fires and all types of medical emergencies. Hondo averages approximately 500 calls per year. Our members range in age from 18 to 70 and have diverse backgrounds such as students, lawyers, artists, scientists, administrators, stock brokers and real estate agents. You do not need any experience - just a willingness to learn and serve your community. We provide all the training, education and gear - for free!
