The mission of Camp Freedom Ranch is to provide a path of hope and healing for veterans with PTSD and TBI and their spouses/primary caregivers to enable them to adapt to civilian life with fulfilling relationships, meaningful employment, and freedom from the despair that too often leads to suicide. The care and services that produce this outcome consist of a holistic set of therapies and activities delivered in a tranquil, resident setting designed to Restore, Equip, Assist and Prepare them for successful re-entry to civilian life.
CFR is committed to helping our Wounded Veterans, Primary Caregivers, and Families who are suffering with PTSD/TBI through our Holistic, Alternative, Residential, Resiliency, Transition (HARRT(c)) retreats and care interventions. Each intervention focuses on reduction of risk and quality of life improvement for veterans and their families. They are Education, Employment, and Wellness (healthcare) together these key areas of focus and empowerment create a synergy that promotes success and implementation of CFR’s HARRT(c) approach to wellness and incorporates the whole person concept of mind, body, soul, and spirit as its focus. As an integral part of the HARRT(c) approach to care we focus on the Resiliency of the returning Service Member’s mental state and implement through our "Warriors-in-Wellness" Initiative workshops that helps them understand the identity conflict many face when transitioning from soldier to civilian and how that conflict manifests as mental distress which can lead to suicide. Under the Life Enrichment Resource Community (LERC(c)) outreach program we offer the "Warriors-in-Wellness" Resiliency Initiative (WWRI) workshops that focus on Primary Prevention, outreach, education, awareness, and mental health screenings.
