Mission Statement

Our mission is to represent and advocate the legitimate common interest of Native Hispanic peoples, religions, arts, and other matters that are vital to the advancement, preservation, development and continuance of indigenous cultures and living traditions in the Americas.

Description

The Native Hispanic Institute is a young organization, with a small staff. Our current projects include the preservation of native crops, pottery, and textiles. As a way of relieving poverty, we use educational outreach to encourage entrepreneurial thinking among people that have basic skills and cultural products. Our educational methods include using workshops and seminars, learning-by-doing, and demonstrations that exemplify being a positive and prosperous role model in the community. We provide low-income individuals with materials, supplies and services that enable them a pathway to preserve their living traditions through entrepreneurialism.
