Mission Statement

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a national organization of more than 10,000 engineers, scientists, college students, and other concerned professionals. SHPE goal is to promote the development of Hispanics in engineering, math, and science.

Description

Incorporated in 1989 in the State of Pennsylvania, SHPE Greater Philadelphia Chapter (SHPE-GPC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting SHPE goals through our volunteer programs for disadvantaged youth in Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware. SHPE-GPC is committed to the following:? Promote professional development and career opportunities for Hispanics in the Delaware Valley.? Encourage pre-college students to excel in math and science, and to pursue math and science based careers.? Provide technical assistance to community based organizations that serve the needs of students.
