Mission Statement

OI(R) is a national non-profit organization that provides a means for the public to support and serve troops deployed overseas and their families without impacting resources. To help military famlies at home and our veterans.

Our first goal is to provide as many service man or woman, in each platoon or fighting unit with C-Rats(R) from home, every month during their entire deployment.

Description

Volunteers collect donated products, and notes year round; pack into C-Rats (R) (a quart size baggie) with a note from a stranger and small comfort items from home.

50 C-Rats(R) are placed into a 12 inch cube box,( enough for an entire platoon with NO ONE LEFT OUT). They are a grab and go item so as not to impact their work/mission.

Each box must not weight more than 30 pounds but can cost up to $30.00 to ship at a minimum expense of $9,000.00 per month. We rely on everyting being donated including the notes/products and funds for postage. There is the Adopt-A-Box (TM) program where you can donate as little as $10.00 and receive a tax deductible donation.

We do not bog down the military system. Instead of 100 boxes for 100 troops we send 100 boxes containing enough items for 5,000 troops. They have been completed, inspected and since we are DOD approved there is no need for them to set on a dock for more inspections; they go directly to the commanders to which they are sent.
