Mission Statement

The Chicago Organization for Education, Discipline & Sports Corporation(COEDS)mission is to support educational, athletic and social goals for school age youth in Chicago and surrounding areas. COEDS believe through education, team sports & mentoring, the quality of life of our participants will be enhanced. COEDS will implement discipline within each activity, promoting the values of a quality education and the need for social responsibility. COEDS will support the goals of our participants while increasing their exposure to information that will lead to opportunities to attend college.

Description

Our goal is to provide a solid mentorship component that will keep our children interested in learning while they partake in something they really love ( sports ). This is the Chicago Organization for Education Discipline and Sports Corp primary mission.

COEDS believe that there are a lot of negative lures for young people in today's society. With that in mind, we also believe that the number of positive options available to young people should rival that of the volume of negative options they can choose from. COEDS fears that the youth in our programs are in grave danger due to the lack of funding available at this time. We believe they will find activities on their own that may not be constructive, in doing so, this will cause them to get involved in activities that will be to there detriment. Our goal at COEDS is to avert this by

continuing our spring/summer curriculum and preparing them and others for our year round programs
