Mission Statement

Yachad/The National Jewish Council for Disabilities is the only international organization promoting inclusion for children and adults with disabilities in the broader Jewish community. Yachad is dedicated to enhancing the life opportunities of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their participation in the full spectrum of Jewish life through monthly inclusive activities. Yachad chapters are located throughout the United States, Canada and Israel. New England Yachad is a thriving Jewish communal organization for individuals of all ages, abilities and denominations.

Description

We are the local New England region of National Yachad. We run over 300 programs and events for participants of all ages and abilities. We model our programming on inclusive modeling with both participants and peers of all ages at every event. We are a small office running on big ideas and enthusiasm! We could use volunteers in all area including computer assistance, marketing help, social media, desktop publishing & newsletter, office support, attending events as peers, 1:1 friendship with adults with developmental disabilities or giving a workshop in your field of expertise.
