Everyone loves music, and seniors are no exception! If you play an instrument and would be interested in lending your talents for an hour for seniors to enjoy, we'd love to have you! We can work with your schedule anytime during the week or Saturdays between 10am - Noon and 1pm - 4pm. Sessions would be an hour. Any instrument is welcome and we have pianos onsite available to use. *Because of current covid restrictions, we are requiring the covid vaccine as well as the booster.

Our senior living community has recently added a weekly Beginner's level Mahjong group and we are looking for volunteers to help proctor the different tables we have. We are running the game on simplified house rules, and all our participants are beginners or have not played in a long time, so everyone is essentially starting fresh. As Mahjong only plays 4 to a table, we are looking for a few people to help proctor individual tables to help our players with questions and to maintian the flow of the game. We are more than happy to teach proctors our house rules and have cheat sheets available! Our games are currently meeting every Wednesday at 2pm, but we will likely be changing the days to Mondays next month to accomodate for other programming. **We are concidered a medical facility, so volunteers are required to have updated yearly flu shots**

We are looking for a few individuals to aide in bringing residents who require assistance with wheelchair transportation within the building to and from weekly Sunday worship service. Service starts at 2 pm every Sunday and typically lasts for an hour, so we would need assistance from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. While it is weekly, we are happy to work with schedules if you are unable to come in every week. *As we are a retirement community, we do require all volunteers to have the covid vaccine, including the booster, and annual flu vaccination. Wheelchair experience is not necessary, but is a plus. All volunteers for this position will be trained in proper wheelchair use.

We would love to find some friendly, outgoing, patient and sincere volunteers to spend some time One on One with our Personal Care Residents. Bring your big personality and life experience and share your time and abilities with a senior in need of a little extra attention. If you are enthusiastic about anything in particular -- bring that energy with you and make a new friend. Opportunities are endless and include (but are not limited to...) Chats -- conversation and companionship, Reading -- share a story or a poem, Easy Art Projects, Play cards or Games, do a puzzle. We can work with any schedule! If you're able to come for an hour visit once a week, every other week, or even just once a month, we would still love to have you. *Because we are a retirement community working with elders, we do require all volunteers to have received the flu vaccine and the covid vaccine - including the booster.
