Description
This is a community orchestra, founded 12 years ago. Performers and audiences are drawn from all parts of northern NJ and metropolitan New York. Musicians range in ages from 12 to 80 and may be talented amateurs, semi-professional or career musicians. Each concert of the season features at least one major professional artist and often premieres works never performed before in USA.
The season, running from July 1 thru June 30, presents 4 full orchestra concerts, at least one concert opera, several chamber music performances, a free Family Concert and a week-long Summer Festival of Baroque music and other performing arts.
