Mission Statement
What We Do The Latino Healthcare Forum (LHCF) is an Austin, Texas based nonprofit organization concerned with reducing racial and ethnic health disparities. We provide educational outreach and healthcare enrollment assistance for the uninsured and underinsured seeking to obtain coverage through the Affordable Care Act. In addition, we train community members to become healthcare workers or "promotores" and connect vulnerable populations with health resources. We strive to provide vulnerable populations access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary healthcare services. We aim to organize and sustain a powerful consumer voice to ensure that all individuals and communities can influence healthcare decisions.
