Mission Statement

La Frontera Ministries International Inc. is a faith-based non-profit organization that works with churches, marginalized families, migrants and underprivileged communities in the border between Mexico and the United States to enhance the well-being of these communities. We promote justice, equality and transform lives through community outreach and by supporting projects that promote community development and civic participation in order to contribute to the transformation of our world.

Description

LFMII was organized in 2009 and was certified as a nonprofit organization in September 2011. LFMII has its roots in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and serves communities and individuals in context on both sides of the border between the U.S. and Mexico. In search of peace and justice, LFMII equips, supports and builds through programs that are aimed at solving the problems of literacy, immigration, domestic violence, poverty, community needs and issues of the border, transforming lives.
