Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Porter County is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are dedicated to making housing affordable in Porter County Indiana. Working in partnership with God and people of all faiths and races, we develop communities for people in need by building and renovating houses to create home ownership opportunities. Our fundamental premise is to help others by providing a hand up, not a handout.
