Mission Statement

The mission of AWW is to provide monetary assistance to local women who are burdened with unexpected and immediate financial needs that cannot and have not been met by other community resources. Women of all ages may receive assistance from the fund.

Description

AWW believes that support for women ultimately benefits families and strengthens our entire community. Statistics show that for every woman we help, up to 18 lives are directly and positively impacted. All women who receive assistance from AWW must be living and/or working in the St. Vrain Valley for at least 90 days. Funds are granted for various emergencies, some of which have included: q Providing an auto accident victim with temporary daycare expenses during her recovery; q Providing medical co-pays for a woman with a traumatic head injury; q Providing travel expenses to relocate a mother and her children out of state to ensure their safety; q Paying two mortgage payments and purchasing supplies for an abandoned woman with eight children to start her own business; q Providing transportation for a wife and mother to be with her husband during transplant/cancer treatments out of state; and q Paying for medical expenses, transportation, childcare, housing deposits, and other monthly assistance to women facing a myriad of emergencies.
