The availability of a full service FQHC enhances community involvement in prevention initiatives, in addition to assuring access to affordable quality health care services.

Pediatrics, family medicine, adult medicine, OBGYN services, dental services and substance abuse treatment are available Monday through Friday. Weekend hours and evening hours are available at Cherry Hill and Calvert Street. Sliding fee discounts for people with incomes below 200% of poverty are readily available. Van services are offered to low income residents living in zip code 21225. Improvements in diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, cancer prevention, prenatal care, oral health and obesity are the national objectives of federally qualified health centers. These health care goals are aligned with the needs of the target population. Of particular concern are the number of teenage parents and growing numbers who are expecting a second child. Contraceptive health services are a mandated FQHC service and are provided, regardless of income.
