Mission Statement

OUR MISSION: To prevent teen dating abuse BEFORE it starts. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ OUR VISION: Next generations growing a culture of healthy, non-violent relationships. \\\\\\\\\\ MARKET 1 in 3 teens report experiencing dating abuse.

We meet our mission through our 3-step bloom365 program in schools:

Bloom365 launched in 2012 with funding from the Verizon Foundation and Social Venture Partners-AZ. With four years of positive pilot results, we are ready to test the efficacy of teens delivering the 3-Step prevention program to their peers.

We deliver 7 consecutive interactive prevention doses, lasting 50-minutes each, in health education classes:

1: Define It: Dating/Dating Abuse

2: Red Flags: Breaking Up & Helping A Friend

3: Unhealthy Gender/Social Norms

4: Social Acceptance & Media

5: Setting Boundaries

6: Conflict Resolution

7: Bystander Intervention/Social Change

We equip teens with the skills to address confidentiality, mandatory reporting and how/where to refer a friend for help. In collaboration with universities, we will build a resource and referral network of advanced interns to provide ongoing support to teens who disclose abuse, including LGBTQ youth victims and teen perpetrators.

Teens who are motivated to transform the social norms that perpetuate dating abuse work together to promote healthy relationships as peer educators and advocates through Generation bloom365.
