Mission Statement
Renaissance Jax seeks to invigorate tech culture in Northeast Florida. We will do this by building close to 300 FIRST Robotics teams at local schools and after school clubs. By engaging in volunteer training, mentoring, machining services, community outreach, and serving as a hub of knowledge for FIRST in our region, we will be the guiding force for over 6500 local student participants in competitive robotics by year 2021. Our goals are to build the highest density of skilled individuals under 30 years old in the world. By doing so, we will be able to attract globally minded engineering and manufacturing firms to our region to hire the talent. The spinoff benefits to our region's economy will be tremendous.
Description
Renaissance Jax is striving to continue the growth of FIRST Robotics in Northeast Florida. We are the FIRST Lego League Affiliate partner for our region and are working to establish sustainable robotics teams from Kindergarten to 12th grade. We support the following programs: Junior FIRST(R) LEGO League (Jr.FLL) for children of ages 6-9 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) for children of ages 9-14 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
