UCHRA Meals on Wheels

Mission Statement

At UCHRA Meals on Wheels, we deliver meals to the Elderly and Disabled, to may counties. We are in need of volunteers to deliver meals in the Cookeville area. The volunteer would use their own vehicle and deliver a certain "route" (area), on the day the volunteer would be available which would preferably be the same day each week. We deliver on Monday-Friday, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., you would not be delivering this entire time. It would depend on your "route", and what time you were available. Most "routes" are approximately 30-45 minutes long. We bring hot meals which includes an entree and two vegetables and a "cold pack" which includes a carton of milk, fruit, aND on occassion a dessert item. Please if interested call for more information. Sometimes we are the only people our participants see on a daily basis. Therefore, not only do they get a meal, they feel more secure that if they were to fall, they know someone will be there soon, and can help and call for help
