Mission Statement

Operation Warrior Refuge is dedicated to helping the Military, Veterans, and Fi­rst responders with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and combat stress by giving them the tools and resources they need to cope with Symptoms of PTSD and combat stress using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) Which is an on the ground, hands on approach to therapy using horses.

Description

Operation Warrior Refuge Inc. is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) founded in 2013 by Sarah Williams (Army combat veteran) Diane McKissicK (EAGALA certified therapist with over 10 years of experience) Julie Devine (EAGALA Certified therapist and horse specialist). These three women came together with a common goal; to bring high quality, accessible therapy and resources to Warriors. OWR has partnered with a local equestrian center - The Greenwell Foundation. OWR provides outreach to groups and organizations in the community to bring First Responders and Veterans to OWR programs.
