Mission Statement

Someone’s Daughter Inc is a community based nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization founded in 2012 established and directed by a group of women who are primarily concerned with educating and empowering young females to strive for success against all odds. Our primary mission is to improve the quality of life for young females in urban communities and advocate for and sponsor programs which assist such individuals in attaining a higher level of economic, social, educational, cultural, and spiritual well being.

Description

We strive to have "preventative action" programs through early intervention through mentorship, tutoring, workshops and conferences, as well as "corrective action" programs through therapeutic and educational counseling for both parents and students. We program weekly by providing site based group mentorship, peer mentorship and one on one mentoring as well. We also provide individualized counseling for parents and students by appointment on an as needed basis. In addition, have a Leadership Academy for High School students, a STEM program, an Arts program and we host an Annual Sisterhood Retreat, a 3-day weekend get-away with an emphasis on sisterhood bonding. This is an out of state purpose driven excursion which provides a refuge from everyday life while energizing them to pursue their passion for purpose.
