The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc. (TRC) is a 501(c)3 award winning supportive affordable housing and service agency, dedicated to developing and managing innovative housing environments that renew people and builds a healthier community.

Description

The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc. provides innovative affordable housing solutions in the Bronzeville community of Chicago. It use an asset based approach in providing one of the most comprehensive base of services both on and off site to its residents. Services are divided into three general categories: Health & Wellness, Education and Employment, and Life Skills. Renaissance Apartments is professionally self managed by TRC.

The Renaissance Collaborative seek permanent solutions to end homelessness. TRC is dedicated to serving as an anchor and advocate for the continued diversity of the Bronzeville community, especially as it confronts the dual challenges of poverty and gentrification. All of the services provided by TRC are to support the resident's effort to achieve their goal of self-sufficiency. Residents also participate in financial literacy and the IDA program which is a matching saving plan designed to promote healthy saving habits to acquire an asset.

TRC programs are truly community based; tailored to meet the local needs and opportunities. TRC links with existing resources to avoid duplication, works the entire community to create networks of support, and suppported by a board base. TRC was sponsored by four ecumenical and historic churches in the community: Apostolic Faith, Quinn Chapel, AME, St. Elizabeth Roman and St. Thomas Episcopal Churches.
