McGregor Memorial EMS (formerly Durham Ambulance Corps) is a regional, non-profit organization delivering emergency medical services and
education to the New Hampshire Seacoast area since 1968.
We offer:
- Emergency ambulance services in Durham, Lee, Madbury and UNH
- CPR Safe training and certification for schools
- Education for EMS professionals
- CPR and first aid training for the public
Founded in 1968 in memory of Dr. George G. McGregor, our headquarters are located in Durham, NH on the University of New Hampshire campus. McGregor EMS maintains an organizational commitment to excellence, and prides itself on being one of the most cost-effective, highly trained and professionally organized emergency medical services in NH. Compassionate service is the hallmark of McGregor's service to the community. Our active members are professional EMTs who have dedicated themselves to delivering the highest possible standard of care to their fellow residents, students and neighbors.
Description
McGregor Memorial EMS (formerly Durham Ambulance Corps) is seeking volunteer EMTs, Paramedics and other committed individuals interested in serving the community. Our group of over 50 volunteers responds to emergency medical calls in the communities of Durham, Lee, Madbury, and the University of New Hampshire, and provides public outreach throughout the Seacoast area. McGregor responds to nearly 1300 emergency 911 calls annually with its three Advanced Life Support ambulances. Our volunteers represent all age groups and all walks of life, including teachers, nurses, business executives, firefighters, lawyers, homemakers, students.
Not yet an EMT? McGregor offers convenient EMT classes in the Spring and Fall and can help you find a class that fits your schedule. McGregor may offer financial assistance to select candidates willing to make a long term commitment.
In addition to EMTs, McGregor welcomes volunteers who are interested in participating in our public outreach programs or assisting with other organizational needs.
